SLEEPING ISSUES

It is 1:30am and once again I am still awake?!? I always thought I did not understand how people could be so busy, they were not able to keep their house decent looking. I have always kept mine in perfect order, so looking at it now is disbelieve able!! I have chairs I purchased on my patio that are halfway finished with what I wanted to do to them, I have chocolate cake smeared in different spots on my bedroom floor, I have dirty clothes mixed with clean, canvas material lying all over my dining room, and just crap lying everywhere. This is not me;) I have two cute neighbor ladies who one is my upstairs neighbor, and the other is one of my next door neighbors. They both came over to introduce their self to me the other night. Of all nights I actually let her enter into my house, let alone my room tonight to see my cats. Kelsey and I hung out at her apartment for a little while tonight. After she left I thought: I would of never been embarrassed before. For the first time in my life I have to say I was embarrassed. That is how messy it was!!
I have been so busy lately I have not had much time to do anything. So the results are staying up until 2am every night to wind myself down.
It has been really nice lately though just to schedule things and to get up later than I normally would have to.
I have thought about life a lot lately and felt a sense of peace amongst all of my craziness! I finally purchased a new pair of running shoes. We have been attempting to start running at a really pretty walking trail that is really close to where I live. If life will calm down just a little, maybe I will have it in me to start back up;) Because age and gravity are not my friend;))
I am hoping to take a few trips in the near future. The first one will hopefully be to Salt Lake where one of my best friends from high school will be getting married. I was very close to their family and if I am able to make it for her wedding I will be so happy to get to see everyone. That would also mean going to see a few good friends from the past, and staying with one of my best friends Selina who I miss hanging out with:(
Kara(my niece) and I have been trying to coordinate a time for her to come down before school starts up again, and I really hope I will get to have her here soon. She is such a good girl and soo smart! I am so proud of all my nieces and nephews. If any of you have not seen my nephew Porters video yet, this is something you have got to see. Not every four year old knows how to read yet right? Try 2 1/2 years old. Yes, he is 2 1/2!! Click on Sage's blogspot to see what an amazing kid he is. They are all smarter than the average kid and I am so impressed with them.
I am sad the bachelorette is over. That was the only thing I have made myself sit down to watch the past few weeks. Last night I was totally shocked as to who she choose, and then after I was happy for her because she looked so happy. Even though he had a funny hair stye, a beak for a nose, ugly outfits, and says "RAD" all the time(Something we used to say in junior high in 1986)I realized that I would rather have a guy like that than some jerk!! Atleast the ugly guy would worship you! Opps did I say that?!?

CRAZY DAYS

I don't even know what I am doing right now considering I need to be going to sleep. I have lost weight the past few weeks all because I have been SOOOO busy and have not stopped..
All my Turkish roommates moved out! When the third Turkish guy needed to live with us because they all had to share a car, it got to be way to much. I was basically running a hotel business for the month here in my apartment. It just was not happening. They all three found an apartment to move into and moved out two weeks ago. They were so cool! However, I have to say the day they left I had things all back in the right place by the end of the day;)
I found two roommates who are girls. Have to say that I thought it would be easier to have boys in your house than to have girls. I think I am wrong! My two girls have been so wonderful! They are clean, gone a lot, fun, and polite. They both eat at Whole Foods just as much as I do. I am sure we would not be eating there all the time if we had family's to feed!
This morning Kelsey left for Destin, Florida to meet her family there for a few weeks. I am sooo jealous, as most of you know Destin area is my favorite place to vacation. It is so beautiful. I would rather go there than to go to Hawaii or Mexico.
Last night before Kelsey was on her way to Florida we rented 27 Dresses while I highlighted and lowlighted her hair. It was BEAUTIFUL after and I think I was just as excited as she was. She had a huge smile on her face and could not stop looking at her hair;)
So today I came home for an hour and during that time we had a knock at the door. It was a man holding a thing of cookies, from cookies by design. Kelsey had them delivered to me for doing her hair last night. That was the cutiest thing ever. She knows that I am basically cookie monster and had ordered me the flower/cookies.
We laughed about how she needs to concentrate on her drive today and not stare at her new hair in the rear view mirror all day!!
So here is a picture of my delivery. Had to get pic's!

World Trade Center

I am excited tonight and can't go to sleep! Sooo much has been happening and for the good that is. I feel like crying lately only because I have been so busy and am tired;)) I started my organizing business a few months ago and in doing so I have met so many neat people. I have opened the doors to a whole new world. Last week I worked for some people who are both dentists, and we are now trading organizing for dental work. It seems like in life that is the last thing we take care of, yet one of the most important things!! In doing that I now have a date with her cousin. Organizing has also helped me to meet a few good friends. One of my good friends has two show rooms here in Dallas in the World Trade Center. It is such a cool place. We spent the day today going to a antique wholesale store and then over to the market where hundreds of people are bused in to go shopping. Once you enter you have to go to the counter to get your badge.
Michelle's showroom has a few beautiful pieces! The nice thing about this is she does not have to work there. They have a few workers per certain amount of showrooms. You pay the rent and WALA!!!! Nice...
I am now selling my canvas boards that I make in her showroom. And I guess I should not say how much they are going for...I do not want anyone to get any ideas;)))
In meeting another good friend, her husband and I now have the "used" furniture store in my garage. I have been so busy with that alone, as soon as I get a piece of furniture in it sells.
So here are a few pictures of the showroom. The picture with the different floors is only half of the floors there. I got scared looking over the balcony there thinking if the mint were to fall out of my mouth and hit a person on the first floor it could possibly put a hole through their head...That's all I need! HAHA

MY NEW CAR-WAHOO!!!

I am sooo tired right now...My day began last night around 10pm when I put my car on Craigslist to be sold. I needed to sell it fast in order to purchase this Discovery. I placed the add on Craigslist and got ready for bed. The phone calls started rolling in around 11pm! How rude!! I am glad I did not sell the car to them because there is no excuse for someone you do not know to call this late, right? Well, it got worse,MIDNIGHT!!! How totally rude, right? I set my alarm for 8am so I could SLOWLY get my car cleaned out and get all of my things out of it. Well just when you think calling at midnight was rude, how about 6am?!? YES!!! 6am! SERIOUSLY! First of all I can see wanting something bad enough that you would try to be the first caller, however come on folks, it is just a piece of crap Toyota Corolla for heaven sakes...Needless to say I was able to literally put my contacts in and that was it. Just as I started to clean out the car, the crowd came rushing in. You would of thought I was auctioning my car off this morning. In front of my apartment I had a police officer and a Mexican man arguing over who was there first and who would be the one to purchase my car.
THE MEXICAN WON! If I would of been a little smarter I would of told them both "Show me the money" I could of made a few hundred extra! Well, it's OK because I got $500 more than what I paid for it a year ago. In the middle of all of this I had people knocking at my front door, the phone ringing off the hook. I answered my front door while signing my title over. The lady that came to the door says to me "HI! I am Emily" Like I knew her from grade school. I was so stressed I finally said "Hi Emily! I am sorry, why are you here"? Silly me, she was there to purchase a mattress.
So, some friends of mine here asked me if I wanted to do a side business with them selling mattresses. He owns a moving company here and always ends up with mattresses. Well there is no point in my garage just sitting there not making me any money right? It is now the local mattress store. And I have had many customers already! Thank heaven for Craigslist. It is not that bad of a website.
Anyway, I am tired now and I am going to hit the sack early tonight! My car drives beautiful!

Happy Birthday to me!

Fondue..........

I need a good recipe for fondue!! Anyone? Anyone? I smelt french bread in my oven tonight. And then got the craving for fondue. So...we got a little creative and melted mozerella cheese instead?!? The outcome was not so bad. Atleast it cured my craving.

Well just incase anyone reads this, organizing is going great! I am realizing that growing up living in so many different homes has finally started to pay off!!! I am starting to get really busy with a few different homes. I am really tired after the end of the day of organizing, however that is the nice thing about deciding when I want to work!

I am hoping that I will soon have time to start working on my canvas boards! I would have time if I stoped living on facebook so much;)

I joined facebook a few months ago and I have been feeling so wierd. I had a friend email me on it from high school. Since then, I now have over 20 friends just from Orem high that I have "reconnected" with. It has been really fun! It is hard to believe they are getting ready to plan our 20 year reunion in 2010!!! Yes, I am OLD!!
I have also starting talking with a few people on it that I have not seen since I was a teenager! Fun!! Knowing what is going on in Baton Rouge has also been fun! Maybe I will get sick of it soon, and start concentrating on my work;)

FRIENDSHIPS-

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person.
When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are.
They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.
Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.
Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.
Believe it, it is real. But only for a season.!
LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons, things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.
Thank you for being a part of my life, whether you were a reason, a season or a lifetime.

Thanks Wendy!

Seaside, Florida (heaven on earth)

I just had to post pictures from one of my favorite places in the world! Selina just sent them to me, they are a little old! We had some good times....

Chris Wolf's twin boys-

I forgot to add Chris Wolf's new beautiful baby boys. These babies are Kasey's new nephews! Any of you that know Chris, know they are spitting images of him...I can't believe how much they look like him;)

Kasey and fam

I am happy to say that Kasey and her family will be moving to Austin, Texas from Boise, Idaho this summer! I am excited about this! Never would I of thought her and I would end up in the same state;) I have known Kasey for the past 17 years, since I was 18 years old!! We have had many fun times, and many funny stories of our own! Everything we did always turned out to be a funny story. And I am not talking just a funny story, I mean a really funny one!
Tim her husband had a business party here in Frisco this weekend, which we found so strange considering I live 5 minutes away! However, Kasey tends to "forget" to call until the last minute. Yes, this is something we need to work on with her.
I was glad to see them. The girls are getting so big! When I first got to their hotel room, I helped do the girls hair. There is a story that all of my nieces and nephews know that I made up. They all think it is the funniest story, and every time I visit I can't leave their room at night until I have told this story atleast three times:) So considering Kasey's kids call me aunt Bobbie(Alli never could say my name, so she started calling me this at a young age) I had to let them in the story as well! They to thought it was the funniest story they have ever heard.
I often wonder when these kids all grow up if they will still ask to hear the "story"

Dolly Parton Concert

OK....So I think the only people I know who would of appreciated going to Dolly with me would of been Teisha or Kasey, and boy I wish they would of been here to enjoy the night with me:) Oh well, we still had a lot of fun! The funny thing is we left a few hours early thinking we would be fine with time. I had map quest directions! We ended about 20 minutes later in Dallas in the middle of hoodville. We went to ask where the Nokia Theatre was and no one seemed to know. I called everyone I knew in this area, and still no one seemed to know. I mean, come on folks! The Nokia Theatre is where they hold all of the concerts here in Dallas(or most of them) and you do not know where it was?!?
Dolly was sooo funny. She is so tiny and cute! Yea, some of her songs sucked, but for the most part I loved her songs. We had a great night! Well I better go to bed now, I have to wake up in 4 hours:(

Clay's much needed haircut!

No this is not Charles Manson, it is my friend Clay who needed a much needed haircut!!

Yes, changes have been made once again!

So I told a few people that I would display my "new" project. This new project is a divider that I made so that we could have a third roommate:) I think growing up with such a big family, having to make ends meet has helped me to know how to survive when needed. I get very creative when I want to be and tend to run my own business at times. I have really been blessed with the roommates and things are going great. I have a few different business opportunities on the horizon. In the mean time I have really enjoyed sleeping in and going when I want to go!
So here are pictures of my new set up. Including the divider I built by myself the other day! I have to say sometimes I do get impressed with myself;)

Experiencing the unexpected!

Today I spent the morning cleaning my house and getting ready for my second roommate to move in. I worked hard cleaning, organizing, etc. I then take a nice long shower thinking, all the hard work was behind me for the day so I could now get all cleaned up and be on my merry way...Boy was I wrong. When I plan out each day I figure out where I need to go and then kind of make a circle to where I will end up back home. If that makes sense?!? Anyway..Along the way I decide that I am hungry and go to Whole foods to get lunch. If any of you have been there to the bar to get food you will know of the brown containers that you get to put your food in. Once at the counter they usually put a rubber band around it and then place it in the bag! Well, I let them know that I was going to eat it in the car, I was very hungry so they did not need to put the rubber band around it:))
As I am walking out to the car the WIND literally lifted the top of of the food, and the food went flying all over me! There were cars every where. I decided I was so hungry and did not spend $10 to have my food end up all over me, so I went back in to the store and everyone was staring:) HEHE! I had the people there bringing me rags and I am sure laughing their heads off at me! Anyway, they did let me get more food. And the birds loved the food that was all over the parking lot!

Thank you Auntie Teisha!!

Dear Auntie Teisha,

Thank you so much for our treats! Mommy came home with a package from you and told KK and I to come sit down. There was a surprise for us:) We were so excited because we did not think our auntie's loved us that much:( Boy were we wrong! Mommy took the toys out of the box and when she threw the snake like thing on me I jumped! Then I tried to attack it because it was attacking me...

KK stood up for me and tried to attack it as well but it just kept laying on her. KK is much lazier than I am. I think it is because she is getting old. I still love her though. She plays with me sometimes! And I also love you and thank you again for thinking of your furry nieces.

The "Louisiana" girls!

So as we all know I am by far the most unphotogenic person I have ever known. This has been proven by others as well:) The funniest part about this is Selina, Sandy, Mandi and myself went to the movie one time. When we were there I do not know who's idea this was or who even decided they needed to bring a camera into the theatre...we tried over and over again to get just one picture that was decent of the four of us. In every picture it happened to be because of me why we were unable to get a "normal" shot of us?!? So..in saying that yesterday Loren and Sandy were in town visiting Loren's sisters family. I drove over to hang out with Sandy for a while and sure enough we had several pictures taken of the two of us and not one turned out decent!! BECAUSE of me:)) Sandy looks so cute pregnant. This is her 5th and last baby. They are having a girl and are happy about that. They have now two girls and two boys.
I miss our little group of friends in Louisiana. We have all pretty muched moved in different directions so it was fun to get to see her yesterday.

My sleepless nights!!

Ok Season, I still can't figure it out?!? Oh well...So you get the idea of what my couch special looks like:)) I was excited! The bottom picture is of my new room set up. So this first night of sleeping on the couch resulted in a blanket on the floor with me on top of it. Horrible!! However last night turned out pretty dang good...may of been from the loss of sleep the first night that I ended up sleeping so well last night:)

WHOLE FOODS

Ok...can I express my desire for Whole Foods. Yes, if I could I would love to walk into Whole Foods every week and spend an easy $500 on food and stuff there. Sometimes I go in to get lunch in their open bar, walk up to the cashier's counter, and prop my lunch down while saying "Paper please" Like I am some rich snob who thinks I have all the money in the world. Seriously though, why can't I afford to do that. It is just not fair!! One day:))) Yea, it better be one day sooner than later!!

Had to post this one!!

THE TOTALLY RIDICULOUS:
On my bottle of conditioner:

"CAUTION: Before use, a preliminary patch test should be made. IMPORTANT: A preliminary patch test should be made before application. With soap and water, carefully choose a skin area the size of a quarter on the inner elbow or behind or near the hairline. Apply conditioner to the cleansed area with a piece of cotton and allow to dry. Leave unwashed and uncovered for 48 hours. If no sign of irritation or redness appears, proceed with application. Do not use on abraded or abnormal skin."

"Hey, you've got something on your inner elbow."
"Oh, that's just my conditioner. I'm doing a preliminary patch test."
"A preliminary patch test? What's that?"
"I don't really know. The bottle told me to do it, so I did it."
"The bottle told you to?"
"Well, it didn't tell me..."
"I know, I was just kidding."
"Oh. Ha-ha-ha-ha."
"Yah, I can be really funny sometimes. So how is the test going so far?"
"Well, there's no sign of irritation or redness, so I'll proceed with application in an hour. It's been there for 47 hours. Just one more hour to go and then I can take a shower."
"Well, it's a good thing your inner elbow wasn't abraded or abnormal."
"You can say that again."
"Ha-ha-ha-ha."
"Ha-ha-ha-ha."

And scene.

This concludes my proposed script for the public service announcement needed for the endorsment of preliminary patch tests of conditioners campaign. I think it will be a sensation that will sweep the nation.

New roommates and garage sales in the South!

I thought I would let you all see pictures of my new roommates! The picture on the top is a picture of my roommate that moved in today. He is the one on the right:) The bottom picture is my roommate that will be here in 2 weeks. He is from the UK and will be here on a soccer assignment in Frisco! Ok, so these "kids" are 25, and yes I feel like the parent of the house. Yes they are 10yrs younger but 25 is now in my book "A CHILD". I am sure when they come home to cooked food and their laundry folded for them they will enjoy this PLUS of having an older roommate:)

So today started out with me waking up at 6am not being able to sleep because my cats are so spoiled that they will talk to me in their little voices to let me know that it is time for them to have their treats.SO ANNOYING! And time for me to open the back door so they can go out to pretend that they are going to get all of the birds that line on my fence every morning. The birds are also waiting for "cat" food to be thrown all over for them. Yes the birds eat cat food!!

As I was lying there I thought about how I have not been able to go garage sale shopping for a long time. You know the South has the best garage sales ever! It was so pretty this morning so I got my Full Throttle out of the fridge, looked on craigslist for the nearest garage sale and was out the door! They had a breast cancer fundraiser at a church not to far from here. I got there at 7am and got the best buy of the day... I purchased a really nice couch for $80. It is a nice leather couch with nail heads up the arms and sides. I also got two really cool chairs to put outside. For those of you that know me, I love to refinish furniture and make it look cool!! Yes..I already have a couch:), However I got a new roommate today and had no bed for his room. I decided that I would put my bed in his room, Put the new couch in the living room, and move the Ikea couch into my room. Weird I know but I have always enjoyed sleeping on sofa's. My room looks so good now and I was very excited about my purchase. I will post my "new" couch tomorrow:)

I then had a blind lunch date. I met him at Gloria's restaurant for lunch. I really had a good time. He has a house down here on the lake and is looking for a partner to go out on his boat with him:) He is a very nice guy and cute! About 6'4 and pretty funny. He buys oil property and flips homes for a living!!

SO..I am now in my room getting ready to go to bed and don't know what I was really thinking.... Sofa's are great and all but I think another two weeks and I am going to want my bed back! Yep! This won't last long...

MY HAPPY PILLS:))))))

Ok, so how do I make it that my pictures are upright?!? Anyone? Anyone?
Well T, here you go. The all natural anti-depressants! Umm...do they work? I think so as long as you take them faithfully!! They are called HAPPY PILLS :)))

Here is my place, as well as a few new purchase's!!

I have been wanting a new TV for my room. I did not anticipate to buy this one. I was hoping to buy a larger one and then eventually put this one in the bathroom above the bathtub:)) That won't be happening for awhile! The settee is a purchase from one of my favorite places "Wisteria" I love it and so do my cat's! They have taken it over. The couch is from Ikea and is very comfortable. You could not have it with kids however! The pictures above my couch are pictures I made and hope to soon open a business with them. We have a lot of flea markets here in Dallas and I am hoping to start selling them soon in a cute city here called McKinney. The table and chairs are a great purchase from a local garage sale here in Frisco! Nothing I would pick out in a store but still love it! I also love to go to garage sales and have not been in ages. The armorie I got from Canton flee market. Gotta love it!

THE TOOTHBRUSH SCARE!

So..did anyone see the news about toothbrushes? Yea..pretty sick! Just in case you did not see it. They are saying that bacteria from the toilet from your feces can travel up to 3ft. So, that means if your toothbrush is sitting in your cute little toothbrush holder on the sink next to the toilet you could be brushing your teeth with feces! They said you should put your tooth brush in a cabinet or drawer to protect it from this! Just a little FYI!!

My "Newest" Best Buy toy!

So..I have not quite figured out how to work my camera, for now this will have to do. I just bought my new lap top last week and as you can see I am loving it!

Selina, why did you have to move so far?!?

I just had to post this cute picture of Selina's kids and to tell her that I need her to move back now:)))) Well, only two are hers

My cute family!

Saturday, April 12, 2008

Ok...so I am trying out this blogging thing. I am unsure how all of you do it! You won't see me posting as much as you all do. Infact how can you keep up with life and still keep your posts up to date?!? We will see!
